Bajé de Joshua Tree al verdadero desierto, donde se alcanzaron temperaturas insufribles (52ºC-60ºC). No tenía sentido encender el ventilador, cuando el aire que propulsaba estaba ardiendo. La sed no moría ni con dos galones de agua. Pero no pasarían muchas horas para que llegase a zonas de temperaturas más razonables (46ºC)…
En el camino, aparecieron redes inalámbricas en medio de la nada (CELLH duró millas cerca de Chemehuevi), cortes con el trípode, y demasiadas ramificaciones en mi ruta conducida por estímulos.
En Las Vegas contacté con unos de couchsurfing, pero no fue muy óptimo, ya que estaban saturados de visitantes… preferí no molestar a darme una ducha. Después de darme cuenta en el Circus Circus que la ‘suerte’ no lleva mi nombre, algo que supuso unos 20 dólares, volví a un hostal por el que había pasado en un previo reconocimiento de la zona.
Dormí en un hostal que tenía piscina, pero fue otro día carente de contacto social… parecía que en los US iba a ser bastante difícil satisfacer esas necesidades sociales.
